great SF shows!!! was in front row on J2B side both friday and saturday night. Nice variety in the set lists and the band looked like they were really having fun! Closingsaturdays show "Winners and Losers" was a real treat! Born to lose was smoking both nights as was first night highlight "99 to Life". It is a shame that the band does not allow cameras as the pictures fans would take would be very cool. I wonder what is up next as this tour is over after 2/4? Very tight encores both nights-friday was: Far Behind-Prison Bound-Ring whereas saturday was: Story-Prison-Ring.

Well, it's over. No more running up to the Fillmore every night. I was hoping someone else would post about last night's show. I'm running out of adjectives. Played Cold Feelings, Telling Them, and Ball and Chain acoustic style. Johnny went to change guitars and Mike stopped him. Mike said something like, it's the last night of the tour and he didn't care what the set list said. They played You Win Again acoustic as well. Set didn't vary much after that though. The standard 6 Mo Miles, A and F, Under My Thumb, So Far Away, etc...

Mike was really talkative and upbeat, and the whole band seemed to be having fun. I bet they were glad to be heading home the next day. The crowd was older and wiser than saturday night. Seemed like everyone knew the words to all the songs. I let after Dear lover, the first song of the encore. Assuming Prison Bound and Ring of Fire followed, but with my luck they probably played something really awesome. Don't tell me, well actually tell me if I missed something.

Sunday was my favorite of the three shows I went to. Anyone see the woman during the encore that distracted Mike?

Before the last song of the encore, Mike was talkin' and it was as quiet as those moments get. Some people hoisted a woman about up and about 15-20 feet from the stage, she gives him a huge smile and says, Hey Mike! and lifts her shirt for a while. He stops and smiles and said something like, "I forgot what I was going to say. I was a bit distracted, I had some boobies in my face."

I didnt realize exactly what was happening at the time, but Monday during Highway 101, Scarlett (I posted info earlier about her benefit show) stood up on her own thru the whole song! Keep in mind this hasn't happened in 7 years. It kind of gives perspective on the power of music. Here's a little girl who's parents give her everything they can as far as rehabilitation, and it takes her godfather playing her favorite song to make progress in her recovery from this terrible disease. I work for a printing company so I printed up some posters for her benefit show. Bob James came by my work today to pick them up. He is such a nice guy. I hope the bay area people can make it out to the show at DNA Lounge March 9th. Devil Doll and the Del Lords are playing, should be a fun time!

I saw her when they shined the spot on the balcony. What an amazing story. I was already planning to attend the benefit. Thanks
